Hörmann spiral door
High-speed door in two versions
The Hörmann Turbolux spiral door is available in two versions with a maximum width and height of 5,000 mm. The difference between the two versions lies in the balancing of the weights: the HS 5040 Turbolux S opens with spring weight balancing in over 4 m/s, making it the fastest spiral door in the world according to the manufacturer.
The high opening speed reduces ventilation losses and ensures high energy efficiency and cost savings. At the same time, waiting times when passing through are reduced, collisions with people and vehicles are prevented and the material flow is optimized and accelerated. The HS 5040 Turbolux opens with maintenance-free counterweights, which ensure smooth and low-wear door operation. The opening speed of this door is still high at a maximum of 3.5 m/s.
Around 90 % of the Turbolux door leaf is transparent. This allows maximum incidence of light and a clear view. The door leaf consists of narrow aluminum profiles and impact-resistant, frameless polycarbonate sections with a height of 550 mm. The homogeneous door leaf appearance is not disturbed by hinges or vertical bars. The design complies with wind resistance class 2 (DIN 12424) and is suitable as an internal and external door. The design is also optionally available with tested class 4 wind resistance. Instead of the clear view, foiling in various preferred and special colors is also possible on request.
The doors have a safety light grid with a beam distance of just 45 mm as standard. This reliably detects obstacles up to a maximum opening height of 2,500 mm. Each light beam can be evaluated individually to create a detailed fault analysis. If a person or object is detected in the door area, the light curtain prevents a collision before it occurs. The door is braked gently and with low wear thanks to the soft stop function.
