Improved multi-gas detector

GMI, a company of the Personal Safety Division of 3M, presents an improved version of the PS 200 multi-gas detector.

GMI's best-selling portable multi-gas detector is now equipped with useful additional functions. These include, for example, a powerful memory function. It has enough capacity to store all relevant calibration and measurement data for a period of six months. From the user's point of view, this simplifies access to the data and makes it easier to make decisions on site.

Another practical addition is the simplified on-site calibration. In addition, the user can now record the short-term and long-term exposure to carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulphide (H2S). This is useful for assessing the current measured values and, consequently, for taking suitable measures.

The new features of the improved version also include more user-friendly operation. This can be seen in the faster configuration of the measuring device and the configurable operating status signals and displays. Also new is an improved overview of calibration data due, dead zone configurations and resolution setting (H2S). The combination of these additional functions results in improved device performance, simplified operation and, all in all, convenient, practical use of the multi-gas detector.

Like its predecessor, the PS200 detects any combination of explosive gases (LEL), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulphide (H2S). This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in personal protective equipment or for gas measurement in restricted areas. In addition to the extensive data logging functions, the PS 200 can be supplied with an internal pump and a wide range of accessories on request.
