German machine tools are considered to be among the safest in the world. Nevertheless, safety remains an ongoing issue, which the VDW and the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for Wood and Metal have been addressing for many years. On February 20, the symposium "Fire and explosion protection in metal-cutting machine tools" will therefore take place as part of Metav 2018. Experts will present innovations relating to safe machine tools.
