Hartmut Engler new Chief Divisional Officer at CWS
CWS, an integrated solution provider for the areas of hygiene, workwear, fire protection, cleanrooms and health and care, has a new Chief Divisional Officer Workwear (CDO) for the workwear division, Hartmut Engler, since March 1, 2021.
In future, Engler will be responsible for the business of CWS Workwear International GmbH and will report directly to Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group. Engler succeeds Morten Haure-Petersen, who left the company at his own request at the end of February.
Jürgen Höfling, CEO of the CWS Group, comments on the new appointment: "We are delighted to have gained Hartmut Engler, an experienced manager with many years of expertise in the service sector, a technical background and strategic vision. Together, we will shape the future of the CWS Group and expand the customer focus of the Workwear division even further."
Hartmut Engler adds on his new role as CDO Workwear: "I am looking forward to continuing to drive CWS forward on its path to becoming the leading service provider of innovative and sustainable workwear solutions. Especially in the current economic climate, the long-term and sustainable orientation of the CWS business model is a major market advantage that offers many opportunities for growth. Putting customers at the center of all considerations and further developing the existing service model and making it more flexible are tasks that I will be happy to dedicate myself to together with the CWS Workwear team."
Engler brings more than 25 years of professional experience in the service sector to his new role at CWS. The graduate engineer started his career as a development engineer at Mercedes-Benz and then worked for many years in various management positions at OTIS, a leading global manufacturer of elevators and escalators. Until 2014, he was responsible for the Group's business in Germany as Chairman of the Management Board and was also Vice President at UTC Gebäude- und Industriesysteme. After two years as a member of the Executive Board at the Dussmann Foundation, the 53-year-old was most recently a member of the Executive Board and Chief Digital Officer at Gegenbauer Holding, one of the largest national facility management companies.
Commenting on the departure of Morten Haure-Petersen, former Managing Director of CWS Workwear, Jürgen Höfling added: "We very much regret the departure of Morten Haure-Petersen and would like to express our sincere thanks for his commitment and the excellent cooperation. As head of CWS Workwear, he has decisively advanced and strengthened the new direction of the division. We wish Morten all the best and every success for his professional and private future!"
