Against the thermal hazards of an electric arc

Anyone who works in an electrical engineering environment is exposed to the risk of an arc fault. This is because sometimes systems cannot be switched off during maintenance or repairs and work has to be carried out under voltage.

With Dynamic Allround Arc, Mewa offers a new rental garment that protects against the thermal effects of an electric arc. Double-layered at the front, the clothing protects electricians just as effectively and reliably as employees of energy supply companies. The waistband jacket, waistband trousers and dungarees provide daily, tested protection against electrostatics in accordance with EN 1149-5 (electrostatic properties, antistatic), heat in accordance with EN ISO 11611 and 11612 and arc fault protection in accordance with IEC 61482-1-2, class 2.
