The solution installed on site is now also available as an Azure Cloud web application. This allows users to retrieve and monitor data on power consumption, cabinet access and the environment of the data center infrastructure even more easily and flexibly. Asset tracking and connectivity management are also integrated into the current software. This enables data center operators and technicians to make well-founded decisions for their capacity planning.

The DCIM solution SmartZone Cloud from Panduit can be accessed by an unlimited number of defined users. As a cloud-native application, costs can be better controlled and software updates/patches are deployed faster. In addition, core application data, for example, can remain in a traditional SQL-based database service, while telemetry data can be stored in a scalable, non-SQL database. The application is designed to work with Panduit's SmartZone G5 intelligent PDUs, which provide information such as power consumption via integrated sensors.

In parallel to the floor plan and rack layout, operators can use the visualized power path to identify single points of failure, reduce overcrowding and clearly assess risk levels. The overall agility of the data center can be improved with functions such as real-time monitoring, dashboard visualization, administration and reports on key attributes of the infrastructure assets. The automated and centralized overview of the physical infrastructure enables users to make even better fact-based decisions about business-critical SLAs (service level agreements).
