Trelleborg buys manufacturer of rotary seals
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has acquired Tritec Seal, a US manufacturer of rotary seals, and with this acquisition strengthens its product portfolio for sealing solutions.
Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has completed the acquisition of Tritec Seal. The US company is a supplier of sealing solutions made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The acquisition strengthens Trelleborg's product portfolio in the field of rotary seals and enables the company to further expand its manufacturing capacities.
"The acquisition of Tritec Seal allows us to expand our production and offering of PTFE seals," says Peter Hahn, President of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. "In addition to Tritec Seal's service model for maintenance, repair and overhaul in the MRO market paired with our ServicePLUS program, we also gain a strong offering for local OEM customers."
The acquisition is part of Trelleborg's strategy to strengthen its position in attractive market segments. Tritec Seal generated sales of around 28 million euros in 2018 and is headquartered in Fenton, Michigan, USA.
