The forklift truck becomes a mobile crane

Turning a forklift truck into a mobile crane in just a few minutes - this is possible with attachments from Eichinger. Bartels, a specialist in warehouse and transport equipment, has added several of the manufacturer's forklift attachments to its range.

The crane arms and load hooks offer a wide range of applications for production and logistics. "A wide variety of craneable goods can be moved quickly and easily, which significantly expands the possible uses of a forklift truck," explains Sebastian Krayenborg, Managing Director of Bartels.

The telescopic crane arms are available in various designs and increase the reach of the truck. They can be adjusted in seven stages and are suitable for loads of up to 5,000 kilograms. "This means they can take on the tasks of a mobile crane at a much lower purchase price," says Krayenborg. They can also be stowed away to save space when not in use.

The situation is similar with the load hooks. For lighter loads, the version with one attachment pocket is recommended, while the versions with two attachment pockets can lift loads of up to 5,000 kilograms. "The central distribution of the load on both forks means that even very heavy goods can be moved," says Krayenborg.

Both crane arms and load hooks are quickly ready for use. To do this, the forks of the forklift truck are inserted into the attachment pockets. A pin lock ensures a positive connection, preventing unintentional slipping from the forks. In the single-pin version of the crane hook, a wing bolt ensures safety.

All attachments are available either galvanized or painted and can therefore be used both indoors and outdoors. The load hooks are available from Bartels from just 265 euros, the crane arms from 1,333 euros. as
