Bacher is a metal processing company in Bad Feilnbach-Au in the district of Rosenheim. To expand its production area, the company management put a new Trafö storage system into operation.

This is a single-row steel rack construction within the newly built hall. The variable steel structure with different shelf spacings is designed for metal sheets, mesh boxes, Euro pallets and finished parts. The specified shelf heights can be changed at any time, allowing the system to be adapted to new conditions for the stored goods. The different loading heights can also be assigned to different storage locations. With a total height of around eight meters and a total length of just 30 meters, the warehouse was installed on one side of a hall wall and has a capacity of around 160 storage locations.

The storage technology is loaded via a separate storage station. This, designed as a transverse carriage, moves fully automatically into another bay and can be loaded with material there. The trolley is equipped with a lifting and stacking device, which can also be used in part to unpack the sheet metal packages. Two station trolleys are available for material retrieval.
