Start of training 2018
Still welcomes new trainees
More than 60 young talents have started their training at intralogistics provider Still. Half of them are being trained at the Hamburg headquarters, as well as students on the dual degree course in industrial engineering.
To this end, the company invited the new recruits to a welcome day at its Hamburg headquarters. Here they were all welcomed personally by the Chairman of the Management Board, Dr. Henry Puhl, and given a tour of the plant and the opportunity to get to know the company and its products. As part of the Still personnel campaign "You are the deciding factor", the new players received their jerseys and are now part of the Still team.
Still is currently training almost 150 apprentices across Germany in various technical and commercial professions as well as dual study programs. On August 1, another 60 newcomers started their careers at the internationally active company, half of whom will learn professions such as industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, mechatronics technician, warehouse logistics specialist or industrial clerk at the Hamburg headquarters. They will be joined by students on the dual degree course in industrial engineering. After the welcome day, there will be further team days, for example a forklift construction seminar. Here, the new talents can try out the role of developer, designer or salesperson.
"We are not complaining about the shortage of skilled workers, but offer a wide range of career opportunities with attractive working conditions to qualify young talents for the exciting fields of activity at Still. With our training program, we focus specifically on promoting our young decision-makers in order to jointly maintain Still's technological solution expertise at the highest level," explains Dr. Henry Puhl. Still is currently training apprentices in Hamburg and its 14 branches throughout Germany in a total of twelve technical/industrial and commercial professions. The high quality of the training is reviewed annually and has already won several awards. as
