Long goods transport
Stay agile with bulky goods
They are robust and maneuverable, can handle bulky goods and are easy to operate: The multidirectional forklift trucks from Combilift enable optimized warehouse utilization and measurable increases in efficiency.
When Combilift entered the market for storage and transport systems 19 years ago, there were already a number of maneuverable multidirectional forklifts. "We specialized in the development and production of reliable and powerful vehicles for long and bulky goods that could be used both indoors and outdoors. That was our unique selling point," reports Martin McVicar, Managing Director of Combilift. Together with Robert Moffett, inventor of the Moffett Mounty truck-mounted forklift, McVicar developed a multidirectional forklift that can be used in a variety of ways depending on the company's requirements.
At the same time, the vehicle helps to use storage capacity more efficiently and save space. Thanks to its high-quality rubber wheels, it provides low-maintenance support both in the warehouse and outdoors. Other vehicles of this type are more limited: maneuvering on uneven outdoor areas is not possible with them due to the high wheel wear and repair costs. Combilift vehicles can also be easily adapted to individual requirements, and their use and maintenance are intuitive and simple.
Behind the success of Combilift are two bright minds who bring their expertise to bear with a view to their customers' requirements: Martin McVicar was Chief Engineer at Moffett Engineering before he was 20. At the age of 29, he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Robert Moffett is the driving force in the research and development department at Combilift. Together with his team, he is responsible for developing new, pioneering forklift trucks for the transportation and logistics industry.
Unique selling point and market niche
McVicar and Moffett specifically sought out a market niche with their Combilift: their development is aimed at companies that are not only looking for an agile vehicle for products such as pipes, steel bars or other bulky transport goods, but also want to improve their warehouse capacity utilization. And together with warehouse advice from Combilift consultants, customers can improve their logistics and warehouse processes and save space and costs.
"German customers place particular value on innovations that help them to become more efficient, because they act and decide very methodically and strategically. For example, they analyze very precisely in advance what specific business and financial benefits optimized warehouse use and maneuverability can offer them. Decisions are based on return on investment, optimal profitability - much more so than in other countries. And the total cost of ownership, i.e. the total cost of ownership coupled with low maintenance costs, is also very important to German companies. If the product is right in this respect, German companies make a purchase decision more quickly," reports McVicar.
Combilift is meeting the needs of its German users with its free consultation service. After a detailed analysis of the current situation on site, the logistics expert uses specific application scenarios to show how they can save space and streamline warehouse processes with Combilift: for example, by reducing the aisle width from four to two meters. as
