Stair climber
Unfold and up the stairs
With the foldable XSTO stair climber, bulky goods such as wood-burning stoves, photocopiers or refrigerators can be transported over stairs or terrain by a single person.
"The XSTO can be folded up completely, so that its space requirement is reduced to a minimum and there is more room in the van for the goods to be transported," says Sebastian Krayenborg, Managing Director of Bartels, which recently started selling the XSTO. Stair climbers generally require considerably more space than a normal sack truck, which, however, requires the use of two employees. The XSTO combines the advantages of both systems.
When folded, it is only 78 centimetres high. Even a sack truck doesn't need less space. At the same time, the XSTO effortlessly moves loads of up to 170 kilograms. "Not even two strong employees can move that up the stairs without damaging their health," says Sebastian Krayenborg. The stair climber is therefore of interest to companies that transport bulky goods of moderate weight and want to make optimum use of the space available in the vehicle.
With its electric motor, the XSTO climbs up to 39 steps per minute. The ascent and descent mechanism always reaches far enough into the edge of the step to prevent slipping or damage.
The XSTO has a fast-plug lithium-ion battery with quick-charging function. Thanks to the digital charge level display, users always have an overview of the system's remaining capacity. The device can ascend and descend up to 1,700 steps on a single charge and is equipped with a brake for safe transportation on the stairs. The solid rubber tires are fireproof and explosion-proof. Thanks to its sealed design, the XSTO is also protected against dust and splash water. And thanks to the adjustable handle, it can be quickly adapted to different users. as
