Material flow control

Sorters take over order-related picking

Sorters play a crucial role in controlling and diverting the flow of goods. With the Omni Sorter and the Sphere Sorter, Trapo offers two solutions that help to keep supply chains running smoothly.

In a globalized world in which producers and end consumers can be separated by continents and time zones, logistics plays a crucial role. Only with well-functioning distribution is it possible for complex transportation chains with various (intermediate) stations to interlock seamlessly. Any incorrect allocation of the goods to be transported leads to a disruption in the material flow and has a negative impact on competitiveness and the company's success.

Controlling complex flows of goods
Sorters are crucial for the allocation of goods. Their use is always an advantage when product units from one or more sources need to be distributed to one or more destinations. Sorters show the goods the correct route in the distribution centers, ensure an uninterrupted material flow and thus assume a connecting function in the logistics process chain. With their help, goods can be separated according to orders, sorted, brought together and finally assigned to the correct destination. Areas of application include incoming goods, for example when unloading trucks or containers for onward transportation of products to the warehouse, the picking area for batch picking and outgoing goods when compiling tours and loading trucks.

Completing the overall line
With the Omni Sorter and the Sphere Sorter, Trapo offers two sorter systems that ensure a smooth material flow. During transportation, the goods can be forwarded and discharged onto different transport rails using rotating conveyor rollers. In this way, the Omni Sorter acts as a connecting element between individual conveyor lines. Thanks to its modular design, the sorter can also be adapted to different on-site conditions and therefore has flexible and multiple configuration options within the given production areas. The result is optimum space utilization and smooth onward transport of the goods.

Flexible and space-saving sorter solution
The Sphere Sorter ensures precise forwarding, rotation, distribution and discharge of packages of different sizes, such as boxes, parcels and letters. It can flexibly rotate and distribute the transported goods to multiple outfeeds at a speed of up to one meter per second. The sorter can be implemented in any width and length and at the same time requires a comparatively small area, as it combines several functions. as
