Route train
Independent tracks
Tugger train with single shooter technology. The foundation for smooth production processes is laid in logistics: If the required material is delivered quickly and reliably to the relevant stage in the process chain, time and costs can be reduced. Tugger trains are used in many places for this purpose.
CSP has developed the ITS-S tugger train with individual shooter technology: Here, all lanes can be loaded and unloaded independently of each other; manual processes are no longer necessary. This allows material transports to be carried out flexibly and quickly. Those who use tugger train systems with automatic loading correctly can save a lot of time. At the same time, the health of the tugger train drivers and logistics workers is protected: they no longer have to lift the material - which can add up to several hundred kilos per day - onto the trailer by hand and then take it down again. Conventional tugger trains with shooter technology usually have three tracks per trailer. These can only be controlled in combination. If a supermarket only has two lanes, the driver has to load and unload by hand. To avoid this, CSP has developed the tugger train system with individual shooter technology - all lanes can be controlled independently of each other.
The driver can decide from the towing vehicle which lanes are to be unloaded. On the one hand, this is made possible by the fact that each individual lane on the trailer can be equipped with its own motorized drive on request, so that the trailer can be loaded and unloaded in both directions as required. On the other hand, individual position monitoring, data light barriers, a barcode positioning system and other head control options ensure individual control of the transport processes. The towing vehicle has an operating panel that can be connected to the head control unit. This eliminates the need for both a hand shooter trolley and additional personnel to correct the stocks. This is more ergonomic and at the same time increases work safety for the staff.
Not only is the transportation of full KLT load carriers simplified, the transport of empties can also be made more efficient. The route can be individually arranged in advance according to the empties requirement, as each lane on the trailer can be combined with each empties lane at the supermarket. The loading sequence is independent of the unloading sequence - this means that the direction of travel can be selected as required, which makes route planning easier. If the tugger train is installed in combination with shelving and supermarket units designed by CSP, additional time can be saved during the transfer processes. pb
