Platform to make logistics more transparent
Volkswagen Truck & Bus launches its digital brand Rio. Customers can now register on the Rio platform and use the first available Rio Essentials service free of charge. The platform is designed to provide precise information on mileage, fuel level, driver identification and a comprehensive performance analysis for every registered vehicle at any time. The services can be accessed not only by MAN vehicles with a Rio Box, but also by other vehicles, regardless of the system or manufacturer.
From January 2018, the box can be retrofitted in all truck types with an FMS interface. This makes the platform particularly suitable for mixed fleets that use vehicles from different brands. Since August 2017, every MAN truck delivered in Europe has been equipped with access to the platform via the box installed as standard. sw
