Jungheinrich already has five EFG series in its range. A sixth will be added in 2019. Jungheinrich is rounding off the top end of its portfolio of electric counterbalance trucks with the EFG 6 series. The series is specially designed for powerful performance applications in the beverage and building materials wholesale trade or in mechanical engineering. With a load capacity of up to nine tons and a load centre of 900 millimetres, Jungheinrich intends to offer one of the most powerful electric forklift trucks on the intralogistics market in the future.

Enormous performance
"Our EFG Series 6 brings concentrated power and maximum efficiency to our customers' warehouses and can handle even the toughest tasks," explains Jungheinrich Board Member for Sales Christian Erlach.

The series is available with both lithium-ion technology and a lead-acid battery. Thanks to the drive concept with two asynchronous motors for the travel drive and two synchronous reluctance motors for the lift drive, the EFG series 6 delivers maximum performance with minimum consumption. To meet the demanding customer requirements in this segment, the series is equipped with the drive & liftplus performance package as standard. Thanks to its heavy-duty hydraulic block, the electrically powered counterbalance truck promises maximum performance even with heavy attachments.

Jungheinrich offers a total of 14 different truck models in the series. Four different load capacities from six to nine tons, two load centres (600 and 900 millimetres) and battery sizes from 1,240 to 1,548 ampere hours allow the truck to be fine-tuned to any customer requirement. The standard version with a long wheelbase absorbs all bumps in the road and ensures a high level of driving comfort. The compact versions are shorter and therefore more maneuverable.

The EFG Series 6 is also equipped for tough outdoor applications and is thus entering an area in which combustion-engine forklifts have primarily been used to date. The vehicle has a full cab with air conditioning.

Assistance system for safety
Assistance systems such as addedview and zonecontrol ensure optimum safety in the EFG 6 series. The addedview assistance system guarantees the best all-round view. A total of four cameras provide the driver with a 360-degree view directly on the display. This makes it possible to work in confined spaces and increases safety. Zonecontrol intervenes at critical danger points in the warehouse and automatically gives the driver a warning signal in hazardous situations. as
