Transport platforms for intralogistics
Moving bulky parts
Intralogistics specialist Losyco has presented system extensions for the Loxrail conveyor rail range. These enable the flexible and efficient handling of assemblies and machines weighing several tons in the production process, for example with a steerable transport platform and integrated brake for the conveyor rails: A mechanical steering system mounted on the underside of the platform enables heavy, bulky loads of up to ten tons to be turned and aligned on the rail, even without a compressed air or power supply.
Wheelsets that can be rotated as required with improved rolling behavior enable flexible product alignment and an uncomplicated change of direction. This platform design enables transverse and longitudinal movements to be carried out safely and without lifting the transported load. The flat steering platforms facilitate loading, assembly and transportation in one-piece flow production. In addition, the rail layout can be variably adapted to the local conditions with reduced installation effort. The manufacturer only uses robust, durable components in the foundations, which means that the entire conveyor system is low-maintenance and dirt-resistant. The newly developed braking system also ensures ergonomic braking of the transport trolley; the platform and load are gently brought to a halt. The foot pedal-operated brake works independently of the hall floor. pb
