More than wheels and castors
Torsten has developed further
Torwegge will be represented at two stands at Logimat. At stand B39 in hall 10, the latest development study of the Torsten automated guided vehicle system will be on display. And opposite at stand B43, the company will be providing information on wheels, rollers, idlers and conveyor technology components.
Torwegge intends to give the two business areas of intralogistics and components their own platform in Stuttgart this year. The two stands are located opposite each other in Hall 10 and Torsten will also be at Logimat: the AGV has now been further developed.
The modular design of the Torsten can be easily extended with other conveyor technology components such as roller or belt conveyors. Torsten meets the increased energy requirements due to driven superstructures with its integrated inductive charging system, which enables charging cycles during operation. This increases the availability of the system and enables longer or even continuous operating times. In addition, a new safety concept makes it possible to transport much heavier loads than before: wheeled load carriers can be towed with the help of an underride AGV so that the entire weight of the load carrier does not have to be lifted. In the past, the wheels of the load carriers were an obstacle to personal safety due to the shadows they cast. Today, they are backlit and can therefore be overcome. pb
