Cancellations due to coronavirus
Jungheinrich, Still, Dematic: More and more companies cancel Logimat
On Tuesday morning, Jungheirich, Interroll, Dematic and Still cancel their participation in Logimat 2020 due to the increasing spread of the coronavirus.
Health and safety is a priority, according to the cancellations from companies including Junhgeinrich, Still, Dematic and Interroll, which were announced on Tuesday morning.
"Even taking into account the highest safety standards, it is currently not possible to guarantee that the spread of the coronavirus cannot be ruled out at major events with high visitor numbers. As the protection of both our visitors and our trade fair team is our top priority, we have decided not to take part in the exhibition," says Thomas A. Fischer, Managing Director Sales, Marketing and Service at Still.
"The health of our customers and employees is an absolute priority for Jungheinrich," explains Jungheinrich Board Member for Sales Christian Erlach. "It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have decided not to take part in Logimat this year. We would like to thank the organizers of Euroexpo and all visitors for their understanding. Logimat is the most important intralogistics trade fair of the year for Jungheinrich. With this in mind, we look forward to seeing you again in Stuttgart in 2021."
"Dematic has stood for maximum safety for decades. The health and well-being of our customers and employees is our top priority at all times," says Rainer Buchmann, CEO of Dematic. At a major event like LogiMAT, it is impossible to rule out the possibility of trade fair visitors or stand crew becoming infected with the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). Rainer Buchmann: "We have therefore decided to cancel our participation in the trade fair."
