World premiere
The ultra-flat for two tons
E&K Automation is presenting an ultra-flat transport platform for the first time at Logimat. The high-performance transport robot can be maneuvered in confined spaces, has multifunctional equipment options and scalable dimensions.
In addition, the AGV manufacturer will be presenting a cost-efficient, quickly deliverable solution for automated pallet trucks under the motto "Out-of-the-box" transport robotics and offering the Smart Move series vehicles as non-binding on-site test packages. At the "Digital Intralogistics Planning" terminal, trade visitors can experience digitalization live and take a virtual journey through time into the intralogistics of the future.
Premiere for the compact high-performance platform
The vehicle, which is just 130 millimetres flat, 610 millimetres narrow and 1,380 millimetres short, combines maximum flexibility and high performance in a minimum of space, announces EK. Whether turning on the spot, cornering or driving diagonally - thanks to its innovative drive concept, it can perform any movement in the area and maneuver safely in the tightest of spaces. It moves one tonne of load and travels up to two meters per second.
The equipment, dimensions and performance data can be modularly adapted to the user's requirements, for example with lifting or centering devices, conveyor technology and soon also with robot arms. This makes it suitable for a wide range of applications in all industries and environments.
Smart Move vehicles in the test
With the "out-of-the-box" offer, EK's Smart Move forklift trucks come directly to the user as a test package and prove their performance on site without any obligation. The vehicles can be configured and supplemented according to customer-specific requirements, for example with additional safety equipment or special load handling attachments. The "out-of-the-box" offer will be available from summer 2018. This is also when the EK Roadshow will be launched, where interested parties can experience the transport robots live at their own premises.
EK demonstrates how to achieve efficient, optimally dimensioned logistics solutions with the help of modern, digital planning tools at the "Digital Intralogistics Planning" terminal. Highly complex, dynamic logistics processes are simulated in virtual models in order to adapt system sizes, transport performance and traffic routing to individual requirements in the best possible way. Using 3D laser measurement, EK creates a millimeter-precise image of the real factory environment in a digital point cloud. Visitors can immerse themselves in the digital cloud with VR glasses and take a virtual tour through a simulated AGV system. as
