Asseco shows integrated manufacturing processes for the digital factory

A truly smart factory networks far more than just its machines. This is because in order to make the productivity promises of Industry 4.0 a reality, efficient horizontal integration is required in addition to vertical integration: by networking as many upstream and downstream stages in production as possible, such as procurement or service processes, large parts of the process chain can be automated and thus achieve the high degree of autonomy and flexibility that is required today in terms of the Industry 4.0 concept.

ERP specialist Asseco Solutions will be demonstrating how such horizontally and vertically integrated production scenarios can be implemented in practice at LogiMat in Stuttgart from March 13 to 15, 2018, together with detailed planning specialist Dualis and MES manufacturer ISI Automation at their joint stand B10 in hall 8.

The seamless integration of detailed planning into the overall context of production processes is a key step in the optimization of production and intralogistics processes. To this end, Asseco Solutions, together with its solution partner Dualis, offers an integrated solution duo that combines detailed planning with powerful ERP.

Detailed layout and material flow planning, for example, allows users to adapt orders and logistics to existing resources and capacities and to optimize them in terms of time andcosts. Thanks to seamless integration in APplus, this process is automatically enriched with information from the ERP system: this allows the solution team to access all relevant order and master data and thus ensure smooth interaction with the other production processes. APplus also extends logistics planning with central functions for scheduling and procurement, container management, packaging management, picking and tracking & tracing. All in all, personnel costs, set-up costs, capital commitment, adherence to delivery dates, production costs, throughput times and capacity utilization can be optimized.

ERP 4.0 for the digital manufacturing age

The Industry 4.0-capable solutions from Asseco Solutions also support the realization of smart production processes beyond production planning. As a genuine ERP 4.0 solution, APplus is already tailored down to the core to handle data-intensive smart production scenarios: The scalable basic architecture enables optimal load distribution even with high data volumes, while the universal Business Integration Framework (BIF) offers the option of connecting any third-party systems to the central ERP system without any programming effort, thus creating the basis for the most complete horizontal integration possible in digital manufacturing.

Both horizontal and vertical integration can also be achieved with the help of Asseco's dedicated Industry 4.0 solution, SCS. SCS offers users the opportunity to connect their machines - regardless of their native level of intelligence - to the solution's central cloud system and use the data collected in this way for new services in the digital age. For example, continuous analysis of the data enables smart predictive maintenance scenarios, while at the same time smart information services for end customers can be added to your own machines - for long-lasting value retention of your own solutions and new business models in the digital age. cs
