Energy savings
Lithium-ion energy for deep-freeze logistics
The operation of deep-freeze warehouses is cost-intensive. It is therefore important to minimize downtimes. Toyota's in-house lithium-ion battery solution, which was introduced last year, can now also be used for temperature-controlled applications.
"We are delighted to present new solutions for use in cold environments. Our own lithium-ion battery solution for deep-freeze logistics will help many companies to efficiently handle goods such as fruit, dairy products, fish and pharmaceuticals," says Sven Kruizenga, Product Manager Energy Solutions at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
Saving energy with lithium-ion for cold stores
With the advanced lithium-ion system from Toyota, the appliances can not only be operated permanently in cold environments (down to minus 30 degrees Celsius), but can even be charged where they are used. The solution offers energy savings, freedom from maintenance, simple servicing and greater safety. According to the manufacturer, this battery solution for cold stores is an attractive alternative to conventional lead-acid batteries, especially in very cold areas. The loss of capacity is minimal and the intermediate charging in the cold stores makes it possible to use the truck permanently in the deep-freeze area. The less often the truck has to leave the room, the fewer problems arise from condensation when leaving the cold room. as
