Dewatering press
Containers and liquids easily separated
The specialty of the LiquiDrainer dewatering press from Strautmann Umwelttechnik is the separation of beverage containers and liquids. The press automates the emptying of faulty batches, residues and all full containers that need to be emptied.
Full beverage containers are inserted manually or automatically into the machine's feed hopper. A feed rocker then conveys the material to a rotor, which pierces into the beverage containers and empties them. At the same time, the goods are pre-compacted and devalued to prevent misuse. The emptied outer packaging is discharged and can be compacted into bales and briquettes in the next step. According to the company, the special rotor technology allows up to 10,000 1-liter bottles to be emptied per hour. The liquids run through a filter box and are discharged separately. Up to 99 percent residual emptying of the liquids is achieved. The small footprint and low machine weight of 665 kg enable mobile use. The LiquiDrainer can be easily installed via Plug & Play.
Costly manual opening of the bottle and tipping out of the liquids are no longer necessary, as emptying takes place automatically and without manpower. Disposal remains in-house, which prevents incorrect batches from entering circulation, for example. Disposal costs are reduced as the liquids are no longer weighed. In addition, revenue can be generated by marketing the liquids and compacting the beverage containers with baling or briquetting presses.
Strautmann will be demonstrating the dewatering press in action at Brau Beviale in Hall 6, Stand 105.
