Forklift Cup 2018
Linde and Continental expand partnership
At the start of the 14th Staplercup season, organizer Linde and Continental are extending their cooperation in the forklift driving championships. Continental Commercial Specialty Tires (CST) will also be the "presenter" of the Staplercup for the next three years.
Continentalhas beena partner of the Staplercup for many years and, as a partner of Linde Material Handling, offers tires for almost all intralogistics vehicles. The companies agreed to expand their cooperation at Logimat 2018 in Stuttgart.
Every year since 2005, more than 2,000 participants have thrilled a growing fan base with their skills on forklift trucks and warehouse equipment at the preliminary rounds and the grand finale of the forklift truck driving championships. In a race against the clock, they complete challenging course tasks - derived from the everyday work of warehouse staff and forklift drivers.
The prerequisite for a successful competition is a material that meets the requirements. The industrial tires from Continental Commercial Specialty Tires prove themselves not only at the Staplercup but also in the daily use of industrial trucks worldwide. "The Staplercup offers us the ideal opportunity to prove the reliable safety and outstanding performance of our tires in front of an audience and to meet the proverbial masterful demands," explained Michael Bott, Sales Manager Replacement Business Germany, Commercial Specialty Tires (CST). Founded in Hanover, the company has been one of the leading developers and manufacturers of innovative tire solutions for almost 145 years.
Continental will be present at many of the 25 qualifying competitions throughout Germany as well as at the final in Aschaffenburg. At the Championsexpo company exhibition, the tire manufacturer will be providing information, holding competitions and supporting the raffle of the non-profit association Staplercup hilft with valuable prizes.
The big forklift cup final in Aschaffenburg will take place this year from September 20 to 22. It attracts around 15,000 visitors to the city on the Main every year. as
