Jungheinrich delivers anniversary trucks
The Jungheinrich Used Equipment Center Dresden delivers its 50,000th truck. The EFG 216k anniversary truck went to France.
The anniversary truck is an EFG 216k electric counterbalanced truck. Julien Caloud, Jungheinrich's Sales Manager in France, took delivery of the truck during the handover ceremony at a vineyard in Radebeul, near Dresden. Jungheinrich has been operating its plant not far from the Saxon state capital since 2006, where the Group reconditions used industrial trucks, the so-called Jungstars.
Steady growth in production figures has required considerable expansion of the production areas since the plant was founded. Today, the Dresden Used Equipment Center covers a total of 19,000 square meters. 250 employees refurbish up to 8,000 industrial trucks a year here. All wear parts and safety-relevant components are overhauled or replaced.
Externally, the used trucks can hardly be distinguished from new vehicles. Only the operating hours counter, which remains unchanged, and the price provide information about the history of the used trucks. Jungheinrich used trucks are particularly sustainable. Compared to new production, refurbishment can save around 80 percentCO2. as
