General overhaul
Hubtex reconditions used vehicles
An alternative to the cost-intensive investment in new industrial trucks is the purchase of a reconditioned vehicle. Hubtex carries out maintenance and general overhauls of its vehicles in its service workshop.
In addition to its new vehicles for transporting bulky loads, the manufacturer of special vehicles and multidirectional forklifts for heavy and long loads also offers the refurbishment of used equipment in its forklift factory. "Buying a new vehicle is not absolutely necessary for every application," says Pascal Haack, responsible for the sale of used vehicles at Hubtex. "We advise our customers at this point and always take into account the individual framework conditions and the cost-effectiveness of subsequent use." The purchase of a used vehicle is particularly worthwhile if the vehicles are to be used in medium-length deployment scenarios. In addition, more and more companies are also relying on Hubtex's reconditioned multidirectional forklifts as backup vehicles.
Adapting a used vehicle to new requirements
The overhaul always follows a fixed procedure: After the equipment has been inspected by a Hubtex expert, the condition is recorded in the inspection report and the work required for the general overhaul is determined. The customer consultation also includes an application-oriented inspection of the vehicle equipment. "This is where the modular design of our vehicles is a decisive advantage," explains Pascal Haack. "This allows us to adapt each used vehicle to the individual requirements of the new deployment site."
Possible changes to the vehicle equipment include the use of energy-efficient lithium-ion batteries, the retrofitting of telescopic forks or the installation of guidance systems on many vehicles. Depending on the area of application, significant energy savings can be achieved in this way. Finally, the vehicle is reconditioned and the necessary original spare parts are installed. Hubtex tests the vehicle with functional and operational tests to ensure that the forklifts can continue to be used economically and efficiently for years to come. as
