New forklift operating system
Crown has introduced the Gena operating system with its new ESR 1000 reach truck series. It provides all data in more than 25 selectable languages on a seven-inch color touchscreen.
Widgets display truck functions such as speed, operating hours, steering angle and battery charge level. To call them up one after the other or set favorites, the operator simply swipes their finger across the display, just like on their smartphone. Gena is also connected to all of the truck's functions. In the ESR 1000 series, 17 sensors collect real-time data on operating statuses, operator inputs and system outputs. Based on this data, high-performance processors and proprietary algorithms adjust the truck's operating parameters to ensure reliable, efficient performance. The operating system therefore optimizes truck performance and ensures that important information is easily viewed, understood and used. This enables operators to increase their handling performance thanks to Gena. In conjunction with the integrated Infolink fleet management system, Gena provides management data and communicates safety instructions as well as interactive and illustrated checklists. The forklifts are networked thanks to WiFi and mobile phone connectivity. as
