Fixed platform for EXH-S and EXD-S models

The Hamburg-based intralogistics provider STILL has expanded its product portfolio and now offers its EXH series low lift pallet trucks and its EXD series double-decker trucks with a fixed platform.

Efficiency, flexibility, comfort: the EXH-S 20/25 and EXD-S 20 offer their users a wide range of benefits in their day-to-day work. The fixed platform of both models ensures a high level of safety. © Still

This fixed platform of the new EXH-S and EXD-S models offers a comfortable workplace and good all-round protection. The driver's cab with fixed frame is particularly advantageous on the ramp or in narrow trucks; the compact vehicle dimensions mean that there is still enough space to maneuver pallets. This means that all body parts remain within the contours of the vehicle, ensuring a high level of safety at work at all times. With the EXH-SF, EXH-S, EXD-SF and EXD-S from the low lift and double-deck pallet truck product ranges, Still now has a strong quartet on the market that aims to impress with a high level of safety, high load capacities, powerful ramp travel and greater handling performance.

The fixed standing platform of the two new models is available in three versions: With a driver's workstation with rear entry for frequent ramp trips, with a side entry for longer transport distances or with a backrest for when picking goods is the main focus. Common to all variants is the air-cushioned standing platform, which protects the operator's back even in rough working conditions. Human vibrations are reduced by up to 40 percent with this system. Operators can adjust the suspension to suit their individual needs or body weight. An integrated air compressor is available as an option, allowing this to be done at the touch of a button.

The low access height makes it easy for the driver to get on. This is advantageous in applications with frequent mounting and dismounting, such as order picking or loading and unloading trucks. Another comfort feature is the standard height-adjustable Easy-Drive steering wheel, which can be controlled with one hand - for both left- and right-handed operators. The Easy-Drive shift paddles enable sensitive and safe operation of the lift function and control of the driving, lifting and steering processes. Safety is also provided by an optional foot sensor for the vehicle variant with rear access; this sensor detects whether the operator's feet are within the vehicle contour. If contact is made with the light barrier, the vehicle reduces speed automatically.

Thanks to the optional and maintenance-free lithium-ion technology, both new vehicles can also be temporarily charged via decentralized charging stations during short work breaks. However, a built-in charger is also possible - in this case, a normal socket is sufficient for the charging process. As a further option, both vehicles can be equipped with lateral battery exchange.

With an overall width of just 720 millimetres - 80 millimetres narrower than a Euro pallet lengthways - the two newcomers are the narrowest devices on the market. This makes them particularly maneuverable in narrow rack aisles and virtually predestined for use on the ramp. The drive and lift motor gives the EXH-S 20/25 a load capacity of up to 2,500 kilograms and an (optional) top speed of 14 kilometers per hour. The five-wheel chassis ensures traction and lateral stability even on uneven surfaces. The EXD-S 20 double-decker pallet truck is a real all-rounder: up to 2,000 kilograms as a low lift pallet truck, two pallets weighing 1,000 kilograms each in double-decker mode or up to 1,200 kilograms load capacity when used as a high lift pallet truck. The maximum speed is ten kilometers per hour; it is automatically adjusted depending on the load weight and the lifting height.
