Baling presses
Marketing waste directly
Strautmann baling presses are ideal for compacting recyclable materials such as cardboard, film, PET or foam. With a pressing force of three to 70 tons, the volume of recyclable materials is reduced to a minimum.
Baling presses are an important part of economical waste disposal. The vertical baling presses PP 1208 and PP 1208 Plus70 from Strautmann are predestined for ecological use. These baling presses gained a foothold in the food retail, industrial, wholesale and warehouse sectors 20 years ago and optimize the waste disposal logistics of many companies. Thanks to their small footprint, the balers can be used almost anywhere. Placing them directly at the material collection point saves walking distances and frees up time for the core business. Employees no longer have to go outside in wind and weather to empty the recyclables into a compacting container.
Costs fall, revenues rise
From an economic point of view, energy costs are saved. Reducing the volume of the materials not only saves space internally, it also reduces transportation. High revenues are achieved by compressing the material into directly marketable bales. Rental and handling costs for containers are completely eliminated. Overall, costs are reduced and revenues increase. From an ecological point of view, the company not only saves heating costs thanks to the closed doors, butCO2 emissions are also reduced.
Recyclable material such as cardboard is fed into the feed opening of the Strautmann PP 1208. With the Quickdoor, a swivel/sliding door, recyclables that protrude outside the chamber can be easily and safely pushed into the bale chamber. Thanks to the Topplus press plate guide system, the premium baler can also easily cope with uneven filling of the bale chamber.
The pressing process starts at the push of a button. Integrated shingles and hold-down devices in the baling chamber, known as the Circlesystem, also reduce the re-expansion of the baled material. This gives the bale a high bale density of up to 450 kilograms.
As soon as the bale is ready, a bale ready message appears. The operator opens the hydraulic door lock using the safe two-hand Hydroclose control. This prevents the door from opening unexpectedly and makes operation safe and convenient. The bale is tied quickly and easily with four quicklink wires.
The bale ejector is also designed to be user-friendly. To protect the operator, it can only be operated with two hands. After the operator has tied the bale and placed a pallet in front of the baler for bale ejection, the button for ejection is operated. Thanks to the hydraulic bale ejector, the bale then lands on the pallet and can be conveniently stored. as
