Conveyor systems
Stow parcels in a targeted manner
The volume of parcels is increasing. Overcrowded parcel conveyors can lead to items being pushed together roughly or falling off the conveyor belt.
How can damage to parcels be avoided while at the same time increasing efficiency in the warehouse? Wiltsche will provide answers to these questions at Fachpack. Pre-opening conveyors can accumulate parcels in a targeted manner until they are processed further. The mobile solution consists of driven scissor roller conveyors, each equipped with a sensor at the receiving and output ends. This controls the parcel flow: when the first parcel reaches the sensor at the receiving end, the driven scissor roller conveyor starts and transports the goods a short distance away from the sensor. This process is repeated until the first parcel reaches the sensor at the output end. The conveyor is then fully loaded and no further parcels can be placed on it.
Only when the employee removes a parcel at the pick-up end are the remaining goods transported onwards, creating new space at the pick-up end. If all the parcels are to be removed from the conveyor for further processing, all the parcels on the scissor roller conveyor can be transported towards the pick-up sensor by means of a release switch. The infeed conveyors can be optimally combined with ball roller tables and other scissor roller conveyors depending on the available space. pb
