Clark introduces new electric pallet trucks

Following the market launch of the WPio12 electric pallet truck with lithium-ion battery, Clark is now successively introducing further warehouse trucks with lithium-ion batteries. The WPio20 low lift pallet truck designed as a pedestrian pallet truck and the PPXsio20 low lift pallet truck with foldable driver's platform are the first to be launched.

The low lift pallet trucks in the WPio series are designed as pedestrian pallet trucks for transporting all types of goods over short distances in goods distribution, production or warehouses. Thanks to the long-life Li-ion battery and the purely electric lifting and lowering, the operator can move heavy loads ergonomically and efficiently without any great physical effort. Even in confined spaces, such as in storage areas or sales rooms in industry, trade and logistics, the compactly designed vehicles impress with their maneuverability and good manoeuvrability. Due to their low tare weight, the low lift pallet trucks are also suitable for use on trucks.

WPio20
The low lift pallet truck with the model designation WPio20 is designed for tougher applications with a load capacity of 2,000 kilograms. With a battery capacity of 48 volts at 30 ampere hours, this vehicle has the highest available power for easy load handling. The pallet truck brakes automatically when the tiller is released. The L2 dimension (length including fork back) of the WPio20 is 423 millimetres. The overall width is just 645 millimetres and the turning radius is only 1,428 millimetres.

This makes the WPio20 compact and suitable for use in confined working areas or on trucks. Its tare weight is 250 kilograms. The WPio20 has a user-friendly tiller with integrated Smart Display and easy-to-grip positioning of the controls for both right-handed and left-handed users. The vehicle is started via Smart Key.

PPXsio20 with foldable driver's platform
The PPXsio20 has a load capacity of 2,000 kilograms and is equipped with a 24-volt (210 ampere hours) Li-ion battery. The compact low lift pallet truck with folding driver's platform is designed in particular for loading and unloading trucks, transporting loads over long distances and picking a wide variety of goods. The vehicle is also suitable for loading and unloading trucks via ramps. The maintenance-free and encapsulated 2.5-kilowatt three-phase AC traction motor with a maximum speed of twelve kilometers per hour and the 2.2-kilowatt lift motor ensure that the PPXsio20 lifts and lowers loads efficiently.

Thanks to the lithium-ion battery technology and the option of effective intermediate charging, the device achieves optimum battery life even in demanding applications and the ergonomic controls can be operated by both right and left-handed users. The all-electric power steering is smooth and allows precise and safe maneuvering in confined spaces. The automatic speed reduction and lateral support rollers also ensure safe cornering. The driver's platform is fully suspended and guarantees vibration-free operation so that the driver can concentrate on his work. The rounded fork tips ensure that the forks can be quickly threaded into the pallet and thus contribute to a high goods turnover rate.

Clark has announced two more electric pallet trucks with load capacities of 1,500 and 1,800 kilograms in the course of the year. as
