Assign forklift orders via app
The Truck Call App from Linde Material Handling helps on the way back to a normalized working life while at the same time complying with the corona-related hygiene regulations: Driving orders for industrial trucks can be assigned digitally via cell phone and reduce the personal contact of logistics employees.
The app works in a similar way to modern cab apps: orders are sent to all drivers until one accepts the order. The call for a forklift driver works on the same principle. The shift supervisor enters the transport or picking orders to be completed into the system from their smartphone, tablet or computer, together with an urgency level for the order. The app then informs all forklift drivers whose trucks are eligible for the transport order. If a driver confirms online, the job disappears from the system and the shift supervisor receives a notification once it has been completed. To help companies switch to the new way of working, they can test the app free of charge for six months. as
