App ensures safety during maintenance

The "5i.Maintenance" application improves transparency and occupational safety during machine maintenance.

When it comes to machine maintenance, real-time response is extremely important, as downtimes can cause considerable economic damage. Software developer 5th Industry has now developed "5i.Maintenance", an app that allows companies to see all areas of maintenance at a glance: Asset management, vendor and supplier contacts, assignment of tasks for technicians, order-related comments and scheduled maintenance.

The app is part of the "5i.Manufacturing Excellence Cloud". It is used to record all machines and subcomponents, including all properties such as locations, cost centers and status reports. Damage and damage categorization as well as the history are also available. The planning, execution and documentation of maintenance orders can be clearly displayed in a list view or in easily customizable Kanban boards. Tasks can be prepared transparently and processed by different employees.

QR code interface

Scanning a QR code on the respective machine provides direct access to the machine file and ticket creation. Maintenance plans with regular tasks can be mapped and tracked via scheduled tickets. The app can also be integrated into business intelligence tools. For example, Tableau, QLIK or PowerBI can be used to create quick evaluations of machine availability as well as categorized causes of faults, departments, shifts, machines and similar in real time.

The intelligent app can also be fully integrated into existing IT landscapes. This includes on-premise databases as well as MES and ERP systems. There are also various options for simple customization by the 5i experts. External maintenance service providers can also be connected via powerful interfaces and web interfaces and integrated into the maintenance processes without any loss of efficiency.
