Cable entry strips
Well shielded
In order to protect electrical I&C equipment (measurement, control, regulation) against interference, the dissipation and shielding of electromagnetic interference is of great importance. This can be remedied by a combination of large-surface contacting of the cable shield to divert the interference to a conductive housing wall and simultaneous shielding of the interference fields from the inside of the housing.
The new EMV-KEL-U and EMV-KEL-E cable entry strips are based on the Icotek KEL-U and KEL-E products. The frames of the EMV-KEL are highly conductive metallized and the EMV-KT cable grommets are made of a conductive material. This combination makes it possible to efficiently dissipate both shield-bound and field-bound interference.
A conductive flat gasket is fitted between the EMC-KEL and the metal wall. The flange surface on the metal wall must be paint-free and conductive. In this way, interference from the cable shield is dissipated directly via the grommet, the frame and the flat gasket. This ensures full-surface protection against shield- and field-bound interference. The EMC-KEL can be combined with the KEL-ER, KEL-U and the EMC brackets KEL-EMV-PFM and KEL-EMV-PF. It is the alternative to the conventional EMC cable gland, which offers tightness up to IP66, strain relief and dissipation of shield- and field-bound interference. as
