Schaeffler takes cobots further

To increase the range of applications for cobots, Schaeffler offers driven linear units that can be installed as horizontal axes.

The compact, ready-to-install linear axis consists of an Mdkuve tandem module, an adapter plate for the cobot, a motor gear unit, pre-assembled motor cables, a drag chain for all of the cobot's supply lines and the motor controller. The Profibus, Profinet or Ethercat interfaces are available for connection to the customer's control system. The linear axes have variable connection options for the motor/gearbox units. As an option, the customer can also use their own drive technology. Depending on the drive, the linear axes are available in different lengths. It is even possible to create multi-part axes to cover longer distances if required. Tandem modules with ball screw drives are available up to a length of 5.9 meters, while multi-part linear axes up to 18 meters long can be created with toothed belt drives. as
