LTK company anniversary
25 years of metal in the blood
The medium-sized family business LTK Lineartechnik Korb specializes in products and services in the fields of linear, machine and handling technology and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
LTK was founded in 1993 by Albrecht Schwegler in Korb, Baden-Württemberg. In 2002, the company merged with MEW Maschinenelemente in Dornbirn, Austria, and moved to Waiblingen in 2005. In addition to manufacturing its own product lines such as positioning units and linear axes, LTK is also a sales partner of renowned manufacturers. For many years, LTK has been responsible for the distribution, warehousing and customization of products from the Swiss company Rollvis, the Japanese company NSK, the US family-owned company Nexen and the Taiwanese company TBI.
With the company's own machinery, which has been successively expanded since 2000, customer requirements can be met with short delivery times. In addition to the turning of guide shafts and ball screws, cubic components are also manufactured on five-axis machines.
Managing Director Ephraim Schwegler has been running the second-generation family business since 2017. "Customers come to us because they get more than just the product. Engineering service, process optimization, component management and after sales are the individual segments of this holistic solution," he explains. "Our own CAD configurator on our homepage has proved very successful in this context," says Albrecht Schwegler, Managing Partner and company founder. This allows all LTK customers to put together products according to their specifications and receive a finished 3D model in just a few clicks.
Like the entire industry, LTK has to contend with extremely long delivery times for components, modules and assemblies. This is why LTK offers its customers a stockpiling service. In advance, it is clarified which and how many products are needed for the customer's applications within a year. The entire annual requirement is stored at LTK in Waiblingen. In addition, the customer receives regular reports on current stock levels so that they can reorder in good time if required. LTK has created additional storage space in Waiblingen for this purpose.
LTK will also be represented at Motek this year. The main topics here are spindle technology and the company's anniversary. as
