Linear function modules

Universally applicable

Bosch Rexroth presents the ready-to-install FMB and FMS function modules. They can be used universally and meet the dynamic and accuracy requirements of 80 percent of all applications with a toothed belt drive or ball screw drive.

Designers order the modules with a stroke defined to the millimetre without any grid restrictions. The FMB and FMS for handling, infeed and outfeed tasks as well as general automation complete the Rexroth portfolio of linear modules. The basis is an aluminum profile. Depending on the size, one or two ball rail guides and either a toothed belt drive or a ball screw drive are integrated. The modules can be selected, configured and ordered completely digitally: With just a few clicks, designers can quickly find the right solution for their application in the Lin-Select selection and design tool. There, they can intuitively determine the mechanics as well as the motor and drive controller. The function modules with belt drive cover strokes up to a maximum of 3,800 millimetres, the ball screw drive variants up to 1,500 millimetres. The strokes can be selected to the millimeter without any restrictions due to grid dimensions.

Rexroth meets standard market requirements with additional configuration options. FMB and FMS are available either as purely mechanical assemblies, with motors and drive controllers or as complete axes, initially in the two sizes 80 and 110. Frequency inverters and servo drives can be integrated into all standard automation structures via a multi-Ethernet interface. pb
