Guide trough

Lead quietly

In highly dynamic applications in intralogistics, speeds of seven meters per second are no longer a rarity for modern lifts and hoists. Igus has developed the "Guidelite Vertical" (GLV) system to ensure that vertically moving energy chains are held securely in place.

It combines safety with maximum driving dynamics, low weight and simple installation. The open design also reduces the resonance chamber and thus noise emissions. In vertical applications, guide troughs are not absolutely necessary as long as the dynamics are low, as the energy chain simply follows the force of gravity. In systems with high speeds, however, there is an additional safety aspect to prevent accidents. Up to now, almost closed channels made of sheet metal have been used as guide channels, but these are difficult to access, difficult and time-consuming to install and also cause enormous drainage noise. Thanks to its design, the GLV combines quiet running, easy installation and safety in use. pb
