Customized high-speed positioning
The compact high-speed gantry from Steinmeyer Mechatronik: This solution for high-precision positioning tasks in automation combines precision in the sub-micrometer range, high dynamics and a long service life with a modular design and low complexity.
It can be customized in all dimensions. The gantry consists of two synchronously moving axes, a crossbeam with two vertical axes for parallel machining and an integrated controller with a distance-monitored safety system. The X and Y axes are equipped with linear motors and an absolute failsafe measuring system; the bidirectional repeatability is +/- 0.5 micrometers. The two Z-axes with ground ball screw drive and motor-encoder combination achieve speeds of up to 250 mm per second. The crosshead is designed for loads of up to 10 kg.
