The new safety products from ACE are made of specially designed aluminum tubing or steel with external diameters of 87.5 mm in the aluminum versions and 63 mm and 38 mm in the steel versions. Ten basic types are available as standard, with energy absorption in emergency stop applications ranging from 670 Nm/stroke to 11,200 Nm/stroke. Depending on the type, the maximum stroke of the components is between 45 mm and 160 mm, whereby the low support forces of 13,000 N to 70,000 N make a decisive contribution to securing structures. In practice, these values can be increased even further by arranging the crash dampers in series or in parallel in order to reduce higher energy values than those mentioned in one go.
