Teaching by doing
Improving knowledge transfer and work efficiency is the declared aim of the augmented reality solution Vuforia Expert Capture. The system offers companies the opportunity to provide employees with the information they need to do their work on the store floor so that they can do it quickly and correctly the first time.
The augmented reality solution from PTC allows experienced employees in the company to record certain workflows and processes in image and sound during their work, for example during machine assembly. This is done using a Microsoft HoloLens or the RealWear HMT-1 head-mounted tablet from RealWear.
The recordings can then be refined in a secure, SaaS-based environment by processing each individual sequence with text, image and video material and, if necessary, enriching it with additional information to promote understanding. At the end, the company and its employees will have access to practical tutorials.
