Fit for the future!
Sustainable thanks to virtual twin
At the Hannover Messe, Dassault Systèmes showed how digital consistency is made possible across the entire value chain and how sustainability aspects are taken into account at every step of the decision-making process.
Dassault used this year's showcase to illustrate how companies can use the "3D Experience Platform" to collaborate across departments and organizations, improve processes using virtual environments and drive sustainable innovation. The showcase focused on the store floor and demonstrated how the real and virtual worlds merge using Virtual Twin Experience.
To this end, the demonstration offered four use cases from production and after-sales service relating to the use of virtual twin solutions and augmented reality, for example as assistance systems in assembly and maintenance and as a supporting or fully automated solution in quality inspection. Among other things, visitors to the stand experienced a robot-guided camera system that compares the actual condition of a product with its target condition. This helps employees to quickly recognize whether the construction status is correct or whether changes are necessary. The aim is to reduce the burden on employees in their daily work and to ensure quality control through the use of data.
