Roland Riedel is Senior Vice President Central Europe at PTC
Roland Riedel is the new Senior Vice President for Central Europe at PTC. In his role as Country Manager, he is responsible for all sales and pre-sales activities as well as the go-to-market strategy. He will focus in particular on IIoT and AR as well as the expansion of the partner network. In his role, Riedel reports to Michael J. DiTullio, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at PTC's Boston headquarters.
Riedel succeeds Stephan Ellenrieder, who will take over the strategic expansion of the global automotive business in the newly created position of Senior Vice President and will continue to act as Managing Director in Germany.
"Roland Riedel brings with him more than 15 years of experience in sales, business development, strategy and consulting. His management style, his understanding of our customers' business requirements and the technological topics of the future make him ideally qualified to further expand our business in Central Europe," explained Stephan Ellenrieder. "As Country Manager of the world's strongest region outside the USA, Roland Riedel will continue to drive PTC 's further development as a market-leading provider of pioneering IIoT and AR solutions as well as the PLM and CAD business."
Riedel joined PTC in 2011 as Strategic Account Director. From there, he rose to Regional Sales Director and successfully built up the business in the life sciences sector in this role. He then headed up the Automotive OEM sales division and was appointed Vice President Sales in 2015, before taking on the role of SVP and Country Manager. "I am looking forward to the new challenge and see it as an excellent opportunity to make a decisive contribution to the digital future viability of the German-speaking economic areawith our customers on the basis of PTC's innovative software solutions," says Roland Riedel.
Before joining PTC, Riedel was Director of Business & Corporate Development at the Zühlke Group, an international Swiss consulting firm with a focus on software development and product innovation, including IoT. Riedel holds a degree in business administration from the University of Passau.
