EMO balance sheet from HSi
Precise planning times, calculation and planning reliability are required
When the EMO, the world's leading trade fair for metalworking, closed its doors on September 21, the outcome was very positive. Around 117,000 visitors from 150 countries contributed to this. As a solution provider for work planning, pre-calculation and order management in production, HSi GmbH from Erfurt also used this year's EMO to cultivate customer relations and establish contacts. Participation proved to be a complete success.
Their software solutions for determining planning times, creating work schedules and quotations as well as order management were met with great interest by the expert visitors, mainly from Europe and Asia. Special emphasis was placed on the following topics: Generating work plans using a parts description and automated time calculation; transferring NC times and updating the times in the work plan; using CAD data for fast and accurate costing; using HSauftrag order control for efficient detailed planning in addition to the ERP system
HSi presented the possibilities of increased integration of parts lists, CAD and NC data and the effective use of various classification features to generate structures. Visitors were also interested in parts list-based planning and assembly time determination. In the context of order control, automatic priority determination attracted a great deal of attention. When it came to questions about optimal integration into the user's IT infrastructure, references were also made to interface, embedding and integration solutions, for example in SAP.
