With a comprehensive product offering, Infineon enables manufacturers of devices for the IoT to fully connect their products and product-related services to the AWS Cloud.

Infineon's security and microcontrollers have successfully passed multiple validations for Amazon FreeRTOS and AWS Greengrass IoT Core. They are now available online as IoT developer boards via the AWS partner catalog pages.

Sensors and microcontrollers from Infineon enable the intelligent and efficient acquisition, collection and processing of sensor data. Security chips help to secure the data streams, both at the location on an edge platform and in the cloud. Infineon also provides open source software with the chip components. This simplifies the integration of the components into the system landscape of device manufacturers and accelerates the development of applications in the cloud.

Protection of digital identities and data

The protection of digital identities is particularly important for data-critical applications such as machine-to-machine or cloud communication. Confidential communication between networked devices therefore requires hardware-based security anchors that protect against both direct access and attacks from the network. They serve as a vault for device IDs and security keys and enable secure data exchange between so-called IoT end nodes, such as networked production machines or surveillance cameras, and special edge devices or platforms on site or in the cloud.

Infineon and the security experts of the Infineon Security Partner Network (ISPN) develop customized hardware-based security solutions to meet the diverse requirements of different industries. At the third 'IoT Security Circle' in Munich on May 28, 2019, Infineon and its partners will present the latest technology for numerous cloud-based applications, such as the connected car, industrial solutions and mobile devices.
