Industrial Security at the Hannover Messe
Solutions against cyber attacks and operational failures
Networking is the order of the day - at a technological level and between companies and sectors. But the whole picture also includes keeping an eye on the risks and challenges. After all, networking means opening up and having to rely on digital infrastructures. IT security will therefore play an even greater role at the Hannover Messe and add an important aspect to the main theme of "Integrated Industry - Connect & Collaborate". With the new Industrial Security exhibition area, the Digital Factory in Hall 6 is creating a central point of contact for users and product developers from the mechanical and plant engineering and industrial automation sectors.
Reliable operation is the key challenge
"Industry 4.0 is not possible without the protection of data and expertise in cross-company production and communication processes," says Arno Reich, Global Director IAMD and Digital Factory. "The reliable operation of digitally networked production facilities and services is one of the key challenges facing industry. In the Industrial Security exhibition area, the specialists will be showcasing everything that protects against cyber attacks and operational failures - from security by design, authentication and encryption to copy protection and access control."
Topics in the associated Industrial Security Forum include security by design, IT security in society, certification and standards, data protection and law, platform security, security management, IoT security, Industry 4.0 security, security of industrial protocols and security & people. Users will present solutions and best practice examples at the forum. am
