Software-as-a-Service
Honeywell premiere with historization in the cloud
Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) introduces Honeywell Connected Plant Uniformity Cloud Historian, a cloud-based software-as-a-service solution for enterprise-wide visualization and analytics that enables customers to improve asset availability and increase plant uptime.
According to the company, the concept of the Uniformance Cloud Historian is an innovation in the industry. It transfers the real-time process data analysis of conventional company historization to an extended data pool and thus enables the integration of production, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and additional business data linked to analysis tools for economic decisions.
Honeywell's new offering captures, stores and reproduces historical and continuous process data from plants and factories and makes it visible in the cloud in near real time. Historization combines the previous time-based data storage with a large data pool that enables data analysts to uncover previously unknown correlations between process data and other business data in the company.
This efficiency, supplemented by the ability to use established tools and functions, can significantly reduce effort and project planning time. In addition, the scale and performance achieved through integrated cloud technology reduces the cost of information technology in the company by up to 25 percent. cs
