Forcam Innovation Day

Mara Hofacker,

Practical know-how for digital transformation in factories

Industry 4.0 practitioners from leading companies in the manufacturing industry will meet on September 25, 2018 at the invitation of Forcam in Böblingen at the headquarters of DXC.Technology, the independent end-to-end IT service provider.

At the meeting on intelligent production, participants will meet top managers from BorgWarner, Grammer, Kuka and the two Swiss companies MPS Micro Precision Systems AG and Peka-Metall. Forcam Managing Director Franz Gruber: "Industry 4.0 has become a revolution. Manufacturers are converting their supply chains to the possibilities of digitally networked production, and suppliers must follow suit. Anyone who hesitates has already lost." Forcam is also offering a program on Industry 4.0 practice at the 15th Forcam Innovation Day with the active support of customers and partners.

FID 2018 will focus on integrated digital solutions for planning, processes and production. Open IT architectures represent the future. Investments in Industry 4.0 pay off: according to Forcam, successful store floor managers such as the speakers at the Forcam Innovation Day report 20 to 30 percent higher productivity in a short space of time.

Concrete recipes for success from practice

The digital transformation is irreversible and is shaking the foundations of the manufacturing industry in all sectors. All companies are initially faced with the same questions: How do I launch Industry 4.0 effectively? What specific advantages do I have? What features does a modern platform for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) have?
