Flexible licensing options
Fujitsu introduces new software licensing options for its all-in-one backup solution Fujitsu Storage Eternus CS200C (powered by Commvault).
According to Fujitsu, the backup system offers small and medium-sized companies all the advantages of a pre-installed and tested integrated backup system: out-of-the-box data protection, rapid return on investment, efficient operation thanks to coordinated hardware and software, simplified data protection and easier data management. This enables users to select the right size and the appropriate software licensing model for their own requirements - regardless of whether they need to protect data from critical applications, physical or cloud-based data centers or virtualized and hyper-converged infrastructures.
The Commvault data protection software is already pre-installed in the solution. Users can choose between all available Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery license variants. These include either capacity or instances such as VMs as well as additional options per mailbox or per end device. The license agreement is perpetual and allows the hardware to be upgraded with existing licenses for a new system if required.
Another feature of the Eternus SC200c S4 is its scalability. Depending on performance requirements, the capacity can be expanded with external storage. The solution also supports backups to tape for long-term data storage and second-tier backup as well as backup to a variety of cloud storage solutions and includes deep hypervisor support for virtual environments.
The Fujitsu Storage Eternus CS200c S4 is now available in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa.
