Ethernet I/O modules
Focus on the control level
With the MX210 series, Akytec has new Ethernet I/O modules in its range that support various other protocols in addition to Modbus TCP. The manufacturer is expanding its range to include components with a higher control level.
The I/O modules are available in several variants and offer a wide range of possible combinations in terms of the number, type and properties of their inputs and outputs. They support many protocols such as Modbus TCP, MQTT, SNMP and SNTP. With up to 32 digital inputs or 16 digital outputs or with up to 8 analog inputs or outputs, the modules offer a wide range of possible combinations and applications.
They can be used in various branches of industry: from water and waste water to heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology and lighting systems.
The devices have two integrated Ethernet ports that enable interconnection according to the daisy chain principle and are characterized by their particular simplicity and scalability. At the same time, they are bypass-capable, so that continuous data transfer is guaranteed even if one module fails.
Each MX210 module can communicate with up to four TCP clients simultaneously, which greatly simplifies the wiring and configuration of the control system. The diagnostic LEDs are used to display status information about the network. Integrated alarm signals, a real-time clock, CSV data logging and the group configuration of several modules are further advantages. Configuration software is supplied free of charge. The modules are suitable for wall or DIN rail mounting. The housing has an IP20 protection rating and can be operated in a temperature range of -40 to 55 C°.
